Interestingly enough, Calvin and Hobbes books from Bill Waterston were the first that I saved as a kid - the first books I valued as a possession and read again and again and again. They were the beginnings of my personal library. I was not an avid reader early in life as a young child (but funny enough as an adult end up now valuing my books as my greatest personal possession) so my mother bought them for me when she had some extra money saved up sometimes from the local Barnes & Noble store so that I would read.
Books became a cornerstone of my existence over time and changed my life. Books exercise the most important muscle in our body = our mind. Books are a uniquely human experience. Books made me what I am today.
