We architected a new service, SaaS product, and business model. We combined three distinct themes, hospitality (hotels), multi-family apartment rental formulas, and SaaS subscription pricing. The logic behind the three themes was that creating an actual βhotel feelβ in every part of the experience would make the furry family members feel like they were going on a vacation every day and reduce anxiety. This cascaded everywhere from the design, build, sanitation standards, service quality, turndown service times, kitchen cadence, etc. The multi-family apartment rental formulas were a great primer for not over-selling the occupancy and helped with balancing the proper human-to-furry friend service ratio. Lastly, a SaaS subscription model (per usage per month) made a great deal of common sense since it is easier to budget this into oneβs monthly expenses rather than it being an unpredictable/variant cost item.
